At the Open Door for men or the Next Door for women you can work to prepare a better future for yourself.

While you have a stable place to live and food to eat, you can look for a job, begin to earn money, save for your future housing, get your GED, fulfill probation or parole requirements, deepen your recovery from drug or alcohol addiction, strengthen your ability to handle problems, grow in faith, and work on other issues important to you.
